Simply put, a storyteller is someone who creates a narrative with high production value in a specific medium. I would argue that the medium does not matter, and neither does the type of narrative, as long as the high production value is there. There are three things that matter to a storyteller, in the same way that they do (or should) matter to all humans; authenticity, establishing a relationship, and empathy. One final thing: storytelling especially when limited to a certain number of characters, is succinct (much like this blog post.)

Visual Storytelling
Here is a video I created recently for the graduate program I am enrolled in. We were tasked with creating a promotional video – but I wanted to put my own spin on it. I wanted to strike a balance between storytelling and promotion, and to do that, it needed to be a visual story. Enjoy!
